The Group has also set up a hire purchase business in Kenya under the name of Cim Credit Kenya. The company has deployed a fin-tech enabled business model leveraging on Kenya’s unique mobile digital eco system and high consumer awareness of mobile phone app-based lending platforms.
Cim Credit Kenya’s Aspira platform was officially launched at the end of 2018, giving Kenyans more choice about how to buy on credit. Aspira allows customers to buy goods and services ranging from household goods and personal electronics to travel and insurance on credit, with free credit assessment, competitive rates and limits of up to Ksh 500,000.
The Aspira mobile application is available on iOS and Android smartphones. We partner with most of the major retailers in Nairobi as well as online merchants serving the Kenyan market.
In a move that combines its ambitious SME Strategy and Digitalisation Strategy, Cim Finance acquired in 2022 a minority stake in Fundkiss, the first peer-to-peer lending platform in Mauritius.
Fundkiss was created in 2019 with one goal in mind: empower local SMEs to grow by simplifying and democratising their access to finance. The Fundkiss platform connects promising entrepreneurs to a large community of lenders willing to loan them the funds they need to take their business to the next level.
Through this stake, Cim Finance is able to reach a greater number of SMEs and play a meaningful role in their growth so they can, in turn, serve their purpose as major engines of the Mauritian economy.
