At Cim Finance, diversity is more than just a value – it is our strength. Bringing together individuals from diverse regions, backgrounds, genders, age groups, and cultures enriches our perspectives, enabling us to approach challenges with broader insights and foster innovative solutions. Strongly endorsed by our Executive team, our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) journey is deeply embedded in our mission to uplift lives and build better futures. This commitment starts within our walls, with initiatives designed to ensure every employee is treated with dignity and respect, and given equal opportunities for growth. From health awareness campaigns to cultural celebrations, our programmes are tailored to promote inclusivity, foster collaboration, and empower individuals to express their most authentic selves. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Inclusive work environment We foster an inclusive work environment, providing equal opportunities and support for career advancement to ensure every employee thrives and contributes to our collective success. Inclusive work environment In 2024, gender equity remained a key focus for Cim Finance. In June 2024, we became the first company in Mauritius to introduce free sanitary pad dispensers, advancing workplace equity and inclusivity. Installed across three main buildings, this initiative ensures female employees have access to essential hygiene products without stigma. Tokens, distributed by departmental representatives, make the process seamless. We also made notable progress in closing the gender gap in senior leadership. Women now comprise 42% of our management team and 76% of promotions this year were awarded to women, underscoring our dedication to career advancement and equal opportunities for all. Cultural awareness and celebrations In a multicultural country like Mauritius, with a rich tapestry of religions, traditions and cultures, we honour this diversity through meaningful events and awareness initiatives that strengthen workplace relationships. Cultural awareness and celebrations In 2024, we marked key religious festivals in Mauritius, including Eid, Chinese New Year, Diwali, and Easter. As part of our commitment to inclusivity, we continued the tradition of providing festive cakes for employees, creating opportunities to share and connect. These celebrations reinforce a sense of community and respect for the diverse traditions represented within our workplace.
