CFSL Integrated Report 2023

Human Capital Report Employee Engagement CFSL considers the voice of employees as an essential strategy for the business and an equally crucial element to support a workplace culture that is enabling and thriving for each employee. Cim’s employee engagement journey was crafted three years back, coinciding with the massive disruption caused by COVID-19 and hard economic times, where the leadership team renewed their commitment to bringing the voice of the employee to the decision-making table. Collectively, we believe that a company can only be as good as its employees are and how they function together as a team. This year we have received the highest level of Employee Engagement Index since we started our journey. Today, we are leading the employee engagement index not only at a regional level but also in the industry. Our vision is to be amongst the best-in-class companies globally and be a global reference. To enable this, we continue to pursue our journey with boldness to: Nurture our leadership bench & DNA through strength–based coaching Cultivate a culture of employee engagement Offer cutting edge learning opportunities where our employees experienced optimal growth Empower recognition to amplify workplace culture Integrate wellbeing within the design of work We used the employee engagement pyramid developed by Gallup. Gallup defines employee engagement as the involvement and enthusiasm of employees in their work and workplace. Gallup uses its proprietary Q12 survey questions to measure the employee engagement. The Employee Engagement Pyramid consists of 12 questions that assess how employees feel about various aspects of their work, such as expectations, recognition, development and purpose. The questions are grouped into four levels of engagement: basic needs, individual needs, teamwork needs and growth needs. The engagement pyramid helps leaders and managers to identify areas where employees’ emotional and social needs have been met and areas of improvement to revisit their engagement strategy. By owning the feedback, leaders act on what matters most to our employees. CFSL is ranked on the 92nd percentile on the global Gallup database comprising of over 5000 companies and we have steadily positioned ourselves amongst the best in class companies worldwide. Our people are fundamental to delivering on our organisation’s growth strategy. We adopt a win–win outlook, where the voice of our employees matters and helps us solidify employee experiences.
