Carried out by Gender Links, a South-African organisation committed to promoting gender equality, ending gender violence, and building the capacity of women, the Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (ASRHR) bootcamp took place in Rodrigues in 2023. The objective was to empower the youth in Rodrigues with extensive knowledge, practical skills, and the confidence to make well-informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health. The Mauritian Barbarians women’s team received an invitation to participate in the prestigious 2023 Emirates Dubai 7’s. In recognition of the outstanding achievements of these women in 2022, we sponsored three players from the team hailing from underprivileged backgrounds. One of the core objectives of the Mauritian Barbarians is to identify and develop rugby talent across all sectors, including in socially vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in Mauritius. The aim is to cultivate and hone existing talent, providing aspiring rugby players with the discipline and preparation they require to represent their clubs, and potentially their country. 3 Rugby players from underprivileged backgrounds Corporate Social Responsibility Continued 52 CIM FINANCE ANNUAL REPORT
