Learning and Development How we delivered on this pillar in FY 2024 Human Capital Report (continued) ACE Graduate Programme The ACE Graduate Programme is a one-year initiative designed to Accelerate, Cultivate, and Excel the professional ambitions of fresh graduates. By offering tailored training, handson experience, and mentorship from seasoned professionals, we aim to enhance their skills and unlock their potential. This programme not only builds a sustainable talent pipeline for Cim Finance, but also contributes to the broader Mauritian knowledge hub. ACE Graduate Programme During the financial year 2023/2024, twelve fresh university graduates joined the inaugural cohort of the ACE programme, having expressed strong interest in joining Cim Finance workplace. Participants embarked on a rotational journey focusing on key themes such as Technology, Control, Business Development, or Operations. These carefully curated pathways, led by our internal thought leaders, provided graduates with hands-on experience, cross-departmental learning opportunities, and exposure to diverse projects, equipping them with the skills to become future technical experts and leaders. ACE also serves as a gateway to understanding the broader business landscape of Cim Group’s companies, including Aspira, which operates in Kenya. Through this initiative, we aim to cultivate a talent pipeline that is both technically proficient and strategically aligned with Cim Finance’s long-term vision. Management and Leadership series Our Management and Leadership Series provides targeted sessions annually for middle and senior management. aligning practices and fostering shared understanding. These training sessions equip our leaders with the tools to effectively manage and engage their teams, ensuring a consistent and cohesive approach to driving performance and engagement. Management and Leadership series Management development: The middle management bench, representing 12% of our workforce, underwent strengthsbased assessments and training in FY 2024, in continuation of the strengths-based journey launched in 2021, we resumed the Manager Bootcamp in partnership with Gallup Certified Coaches. 12 newly appointed and promoted managers received training on how to leverage their unique strengths, deepen their managerial skills, and better lead their teams to deliver on Cim Finance’s strategy. The 65 managers trained in previous bootcamps participated in refresher sessions, focusing on alignment with current workplace demands, including better understanding and effectively engaging Generation Z colleagues. Leadership development: The appointment of our new Group CEO reshaped the dynamics of the senior leadership team, leading to a retreat designed to align the team around a shared vision to drive the business forward. Beyond strategic discussions, interactive workshops and wellness activities, the retreat provided opportunities to strengthen bonds. Cim Capability Academy Our Academy is dedicated to equipping new hires with essential business knowledge and practical skills to smoothly transition from the classroom to the front-line bench. This approach helps new team members adapt quickly and contribute effectively from the outset, while building a strong foundation for them to advance in their professional ambitions. Cim Capability Academy We onboarded and trained 106 new recruits to strengthen our front-line workforce. We introduced an innovative selection process, evaluating candidates through Assessment Centres, attracting a diverse range of profiles. This initiative was a collaborative effort, with our frontliners, our Consumer Finance team and HR co-designing the selection process to identify and nurture top talent, while other stakeholders contributed technical expertise to ensure impactful, role-specific training.
