Kwon joined Cim Finance as Chief Risk Officer in 2019. He is a seasoned risk professional with a deep understanding of risk discipline. He has over 24 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry.

With a track record of building resilient and future ready risk framework, Kwon leads the risk management function within the Group, overseeing all risk-related activities including credit, market, liquidity, and operational risks), as well as risk related strategies, policies and processes.

Before joining Cim Finance, Kwon was the Head of Risk at SBM Group, where he was instrumental in implementing an industry-leading risk management framework, which enhanced the Group’s resilience across several countries. He also held various senior positions in Compliance and Treasury Management, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on the evolving risk landscape.

Kwon holds an MSc in Business Finance from Brunel University London and the ACI Dealing Certificate.
