Kwon joined Cim Finance as Chief Risk Officer in 2019. He is a seasoned risk professional with a deep understanding of risk discipline. He has over 25 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry.

With a track record of building resilient and future-ready risk frameworks, Kwon leads the risk management function within the Group, overseeing all risk-related activities including credit, market, liquidity, and operational risks, as well as risk-related strategies, policies and processes.

Before joining Cim Finance, Kwon was the Head of Risk at SBM Group, where he was instrumental in implementing an industry-leading risk management framework, which enhanced the Group’s resilience across several countries. He also held various senior positions in Compliance and Treasury Management, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on the evolving risk landscape. Kwon holds an MSc in Business Finance from Brunel University London and the ACI Dealing Certificate.
