Shaheen Bundhoo

Head of Internal Audit

Shaheen joined CFSL in July 2018 as Manager in the Internal Audit Department. She was subsequently promoted to Senior Manager and assumed the role of Interim Head of Internal Audit from October 2023 to March 2025. On 1 April 2025, she was promoted to Head of Internal Audit Department. She is responsible for overseeing the Internal Audit Department of CFSL and providing independent assurance that the organisation's processes, internal controls, and governance are functioning effectively.

Prior to joining CFSL, Shaheen served as Operational Audit Coordinator at MCB and worked as a Senior Consultant at PwC Mauritius, where she delivered internal audit and advisory services to a diverse range of clients across industries in both Mauritius and Africa. Through her career, she acquired significant experience in auditing and risk management.

Shaheen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Management from the University of Mauritius, and is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She is also a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors Mauritius.
